Thanks, Fred Hi Fred, I don't think they've completed the full download of all the data. This also happens on some of the 1900 NJ census also....very frustrating. Just have to wait until they get to it. Joan

    3. Hi, Ordinarily I do not make it a practice to seek someone, but Fran Hopkins O'Neill was brought to my attention sometime in the past by a lister. Now I understand her email address is no longer the same, and she is one of the best sources of my HICKS research, as she has a parallel line. Does anyone know of her new address? Thanks, Vince Summers

    1. Think I've Found Paul M MECRAY's Parents & Grandparents...
    2. Vince Summers
    3. I believe I now have the parents & probably cousins for Paul Mulford Sr Mecray... 1880: Aged 8, Paul is found in the home of: James Jr MECRAY & Elizabeth S. Hughes MECRAY <-- Listed under McCRAY Curiously, next door (under McCRAY, also) is: James E. MECRAY & Rebecca -- a mere two years age difference from James Jr! Then, three more doors away is: James E. MECRAY & Mary -- he is aged 74. <-- Presumably an uncle for Paul. Anyone who can tie these more closely together, please contact me. Thanks, Vince Summers

    1. Many Thanks and Some Info for the List: MARCEY/MECRAY
    2. Vince Summers
    3. I have been flooded with great information from the list members, and I just have to thank you! I now know Samuel S. MARCEY's household from the 1850 and 1860 census. By the way, this fellow was the enumerator in at least a portion of the Cape May County census for 1830... He had wife Thankful, son Manuel E. or Samuel E., or Hamish E. (this will be worked out by me - probably not too difficult). Another son was Alexander, and a daughter was Martha. But here is one that was misleading from one census, but clarified by the other... 1860 said something like Tolphena was a daughter. That is exactly how it did look. But 1850 revealed: Tryphena MARCEY, aged 10. So many thanks, and I look forward to linking, if possible, Paul Mulford MECRAY to Alexander, etc., etc. Vince Summers

    2. Hi Vince, You're going to love this. I tried a soundex search for Alexander Mecray in1860 Cpae May Co. Nothing even close came up. i also tried Phila, PA with no results. I finally just typed in alexander with no last name for 1860 Cape May and it showed up as Marcey and..........he is living with his father, Samuel S. Marcey in Lower Twp. as a medical student. His father is a Physician and a brother Virgil Marcey who lives in Cold Spring, is also a Physician. Jackpot!! They all seem to have their names spelled as Marcey with most of the adult males being b. in Conn. They live in Middle Twp. and Lower Twp.
