    2. Chris Fowler
    3. Hello, If you haven't stopped by the Indexes Unlimited online Genealogy Library lately, you might not know that we are offering a new lookup service. All lookups are either $5 or $10, depending on the size of the resource. A single book or several volumes of books are only $5, and a major resource or series of books is $10. We are now offering $10 lookups for the following resources: New Jersey Card Index to Birth Records, 1670-1939 , at the Gloucester County Historical Society (Woodury, N.J.). 9 microfilm rolls of card files at the Gloucester Historical Society, Woodbury. These cards cover information from a variety of sources, both primary and secondary. They include Gloucester, Salem, Camden and Cumberland counties, primarily. There is more information than just an index. New Jersey Card Index to Marriage Records, 1670-1939 at the Gloucester County Historical Society (Woodury, N.J.). 18 microfilm rolls of the card files at the Gloucester Historical Society, Woodbury. The index has been compiled from several types of records both primary and secondary. Includes anniversary notices with wedding taking place before the date of the notice. 1. Followup on Sharon's Directory Request
    2. Folks: wouldn't it be great to find someone who goes to Camden City Library frequently and who would be willing to do some lookups from 1890's and early 1900's? I would be willing to send such person a self-addressed stamped envelope in which to mail me the info and pay for photocopies and a small fee for the lookups. Anyone interested? I am trying to followup two families to see how long they stayed in Camden: BOND and STANTON. They married into my HUGHES family. Their wives died young; trying to find out if they had children and what happened to them. Anyone willing to do lookups? MaisieAnn@aol.com Hudson, OH Researching HUGHES from Mt. Holly and Camden.

    1. Camden City Directory Request
    2. Does anyone have access to an 1890 (give or take a few years) Camden City Directory? After checking with the LDS, there is a gap of time of filmed directories that includes, of course, the time period that I am researching in Camden. The surnames that I am researching are STAPLEFORD, KOFFENBERGER, and ALBAUGH. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Sharon

    2. bill capie
    3. Hi, I am seeking information about Harvenston Myers (my gggf) and his family. He was the father of Harry H. Myers (1/29/1858-1/30/1896) who spent most of his life in and around Camden and Gloucester Counties, New Jersey. Harvenston had two other children by a first marriage, Elizabeth (Lizzy) and another Harry. I'd appreciate any information or insight about the family -- him, either of his wives, or his parents. 1. Samuel Garrison Conley/Connelly
    2. Michael Conley
    3. Hi, my name is Michael L. Conley. I have been researching my grandfather's paternal line for 3 years now. My grandfather,Samuel Garrison Conley II, was born in 1892 to Catherine Giffin Conley and Samuel Garrison Conley I. My great grandfather worked for Lucas Paints for most of his life until he died in 1892. My great grandfather was born in Pleasantville NJ in 1842 to Owen Conley and Phoebe Conley. I have come across a alternate spelling of our last name in a old bible record of Owen's, it was Connelly. If any one has any attachment to my line in any way please write me. My great grandfather was married prievously to a Mary Huffman- I can't really prove this, it's a family story. His first wife died and he then married my great grandmother who was their nanny. If you have any old records from Gibbsboro I'd be intrested in seeing these, that is where they lived too. Thanks Michael

    1. Reformatories in NJ 1873-1883
    2. Paul B. Phelps
    3. Seeking information on the name and location of boys' reformatories in the state of NJ during the period 1873-1883. My greatgrandparents left Maine to become the warden and matron of such an instution, and my grandfather appears to have been born in the reformatory in 1876. (This made him the object of a lot of good-natured kidding within the family.) Was there such an institution in Camden Co. at this time? Because I do not subscribe to this list, I ask that you respond directly to the address below, instead of (or in addition to) the group. Thanks very much, in advance, for your help. Paul B. 3. Friends: just learned that my gr. grandfather belonged to Post 37, G.A.R. Are those records available anywhere? Also, his obituary said he belonged to Nonpareil Lodge, No. 220 IOOF...as well as Fidelity Lodge, No. 3. A.O.U.W. and Veteran Legion, No. 87. This would have been between 1880-1910. Does anyone know about these records...are they available? Helpful? 1. DON'T OVERLOOK LOCAL RESOURCES
    2. MaisieAnn
    3. Friends: I had been longing for a Camden City map. Someone on the list mentioned that Philadelphia maps might include Camden. When I was out today in my smallish town, I noticed the AAA (American Automobile Assoc.) office and decided to stop in and ask for a Philadelphia map (one must be a member of AAA)...I was given a HUGE map that has Philly and Camden...and all of the streets I wanted to locate. Didn't have to wait for mail, or send money, or go to big bookstore! Lesson: remember local resources! MaisieAnn@aol.com Hudson, OH
