Hi, russ sent me old Cox listings from 93. Thanks! I'm trying to researching the land Thomas refers to in his will.......... "400 acres near Cooper's Creek, Gloucester County" . He also mentions "Upton" a late 17th and early 18th century village in old Gloucester County. He refers to his "cousin Richard Cooper". I searched the "Colonial Transactions in NJ" to no avail. No Thomas purchasing land here. I also scanned the microfilm of the "West Jersey Proprietors" without success so far. They're tough to read (warrants, deed transactions and surveys). How and When did Thomas Cox acquire this Land?? How is he related to Richard Cooper?? What did son John do with the property?? Den49co@aol.com Dennis E. Cox Southern NJ

Hello All, What is the best way to trace when a person was natuaralized as well as obtain their naturalization papers and their petition/application. My dear transiant relatives moved around the tri-state area quite a bit so I am finding out. If I knew the year of their naturalization - I would be able to know where they were living at the time. My best guess is my 2greatgrandmother was naturalized in the 1940 or earlier. She either did it in her married name Borowski or her maiden name Filipkowski. The question is - Parons Pa, Camden New Jersey, Lansdale PA, South River NJ. Any suggestions on the best place to start. I have her ship records and their is a number written in her entry that looks like it occurred at a differnt time as well as a date stamp I think says 1940 or 1942 - Dec (the DEC probable stands for December) Thanks Natalie
In a message dated 98-06-28 09:38:24 EDT, you write: << If anyone has any listings for cemeteries in Camden county or knows where there are some on-line somewhere, please let me know. >> www.cybernet.net/~gsteiner/njgenweb/camden/camdencem.html website that only lists the cemeteries. I am not sure if they are all there. I have been to a few of them. Diane

Is anyone aware of where the records for Evergreen Cemetery on Mt. Ephraim Avenue are located. The phone number listed in my 95 phone book has been disconnected. Any help appreciated. Researching TUTTLE, WOODFALL, BICKER Thanks in advance, Frank Bicker
Frank: The Evergreen Cemetery is in bankruptcy. The Camden County Historical Society has been attempting to obtain the records, but, to date, this effort has been rather futile. However, CCHS does have the Evergreen Cemetery card file available on microfilm and also has maps of the cemetery. Please feel free to visit and use these resources. Regards, Paul W. Regina, It may be a law, but, I have sent for death certificates to NJ from TX by mail, and if I checked the OTHER box and put "family health history" as reason for wanting, they have sent me certificate with cause of death left on it. My and Hubbys family (and us) all freom NJ and I have done many. Diane
