I am trying to find information regarding Mary Frances Demiticus -Hainey who died in Camden, New Jersey in the early 40's. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could tell me where Mount Peace Cemetary is located. I'm sure the name has probably changed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Rhete Himmons

Folks, Some of you may have gotten a junk letter. If you remove it by following their descriptions, you may just be confirming that you do exist. A robot address mailer may have come up with this... So the usual advice (from where I work, the UNIX Geeks), suggest just delete, unless you are skilled in tracking it down and turning on the heat at the source. Vince
I've been stuck on this one for a while. I'm looking for the parents of Rev. William V DARROW b. Mar. 20, 1819 in Camden Co.,NJ and d. Jan. 27, 1856 near Atlantic City. He married Bethsheba Ann GANT on Sept. 1, 1842. Marriage and death records do not list his parents, and his Methodist history is well documented, except for his parents names! Ring a bell with anyone out there ? Thanks, Nath

I have gotten to : Andrew Pilarchik b: abt 1860 in Austria d: Pennsylvania or NJ and Frederick Bourquin b: June 23, 1808 in Switzerland d: May 25, 1897 in Camden, NJ I'm basically at a stand still so any information anyone may have I'm sure will be helpful.
Hi Everybody! Looking for any information on the family of Mark TROUT, the following is from the 1880 Camden Census. Trout, Mark 37 M W iron molder Elizabeth 33 F W Ella 17 F W John 15 Elmer 11 Howard 8 Lottie 5 Mark 3 Mark and Elizabeth (CAMPBELL) were married in 1862 in Mays Landing, NJ. Mark's parents are John Trout and Margaret ???? where they are from I don't know I have never found them in a census with a young Mark. Elizabeth's parents are Elmer Campbell and Charlotte Pettit, they too were married in Atlantic County. I believe Mark may have had two brothers - John and Robert Trout as they both appear in the Camden Census at that time. My connection is through Lottie (Charlotte) who married James S Regars and they lived in Florence, NJ. Mark and Elizabeth both died in the early 1880's and what became of the children after that I don't know. Any information on the family would be appreciated. Thanks Ed Karn
Hello Everyone, Sunday was my first day on the Camden list and I am just overwhelmed with the helpful and kind people on this list! So many people wrote about their knowledge of NYS and many offered to help me find the RUBIE family for Bob at the Historical Society. I am answering everyone who has written, but am still working through the letters. I just wanted to let you all know what wonderful people are on this list! Thank you again. Kathy
Hello Folks, New York Ship Yard was located on Broadway in the City of Camden, NJ. It was a rather large facility as I recall it (I lived in Camden & many men in our neighborhood worked there). They used to build ships for the US Navy as well as possibly other ship building. One of the ships they built (that I remember well) was the USS Kitty Hawk---it was an aircraft carrier. It was near the border with Gloucester City & (obviously) was on the Delaware River at the old Port of the City of Camden. It closed many years ago & was one of the first major employers to leave the city & began the economic decline of Camden, NJ. It is across the Delaware River from where the Philadelphia US Naval Ship Yard was located. Hope that is a bit of help. I will see if I can find any further info & any possible photos of the old NY Ship Yard. Sally Huntley

Is there a source online for lookups or an index of obituaries? I would like to get the obituary for Elwood Walters, who died August 4, 1965 at the Camden Co Hospital for Chest Diseases, in Lakeland (Gloucester Twp?). He lived in Camden City. Thanks in advance for any help! Mike Gilbert hrdina@eclipse.net
