I was from Collingswood, NJ and to my knowledge they have copies of all year books in the local libraries. I am sure they would be in the Camden libraries as well. Vickie
This is wonderful. I would love info you may have for Sommers/Summers. I lost the address of the kind person who sent me info on Olive Chew. The unzipped photographic attachment crashes my Netscape browser, and so I had to delete it without even seeing it. If you or she has any images, and you care to send them, please zip them. I do not expect them, but they are most welcome. The info would help greatly in itself. I volunteer until I am almost overburdened at times, but I do it because wonderfully kind persons have helped me so much. Apparently you are one of these! The Camden County Historical Society has a large collection of Camden High Yearbooks. Also, in their holdings, are reunion booklets, etc. The Society's research rates are a reasonable $18, including the cost of some copies and postage. Lynn

This may be a long shot but if anyone has the NJ Census for Berlin in 1900, could you look up "McCanns" on the census &, if there aren't too many, let me know who is listed and the data. I know I can order it from the FHC & I plan to eventually do that but I don't have much time since I have little ones to tend to. Thank you. Kathy

One of our Rowand family members found this genealogist on the web and wrote to him concerning our progenitor Alexander/Ellicksander Rowand b. 1654 Scotland who came to the present day Camden Co. area in 1675. My inquiry is, does this seem reasonable? Is there a way to find out the reputations of Genealogists in Scotland? Wes Hayman Dear Sir Thank you for your e mail.I am a professional Genealogist and I have access to all the records necessary for such a search. I charge £40 (40 pounds) or $80 (80 dollars) and the work would be completed within 7-10 days. Please send what information you can along with your cheque. Hoping that this is acceptable to you. Your sincerely J.S.Arthur F.S.A.(Scot) 392/7 Easter Road Leith Scotland EH6 8HT Other "Early Gl. Co., NJ Settlers" surnames associated with Rowand are: Bates, Clement, Collins, Ellis, Harrison, Horner, Hillman, Hunt, Matlack, Rudderow, Saunders, Shivers, Ward, etc.
My grandmother had a friend by the name of Ann Roth who lived in Camden, NJ during the 1920s-1930s, I believe. If anyone is related to Ann Roth, it would be nice to hear from you. Kathy McClung
Hello Everyone, I am helping a gentleman in England research his cousins who came over to Camden Co in the early 1900's. One of his cousins left a will in 1929. It is very difficult for me to get into Camden to get this. Is there anyone on the list who would be willing to do this for me, I would pay all costs of course and would be happy to do research in Burlington County where I live. If anyone is interested in this, please e-mail me privately. Thank you for your help! Kathy
My great grandfather's brother, EDWARD McCANN, settled in Berlin. The only thing we know is that he had sons & daughters. If anyone knows of any of Edward McCann's descendants in Berlin, NJ, please email me. Thank you. Kathy

Does anyone recognize these Chews? Distant offspring of the famous Gloucester county Chews, direct descendants of the Loyalist Jonathan (of whose final fate I know nothing -- did he flee to Canada, then?). My Cousin Fannie (Fanny?) was a bewhiskered old lady, not too appealing to the eye, but warm to the heart. Stories of Wilson came from my Grandmother, who visualized him, or maybe even allegorized him, as extremely tall. She always smiled about her Chew relatives. They were all from around the 1860's or 70's. Children of Walter Wesley Chew, whom Prowell calls Walker W. Chew. Walter Wesley Chew's wife, Elizabeth R. Fitzgerald, who may have been Elizabeth Rouse Fitzgerald, named after the DeRousse's, died in Cheltenham. So, perhaps if you do not know anything of these persons, you can still help me by telling me what county Cheltenham is. Pa, I believe? Vince
