Hi, All- I wanted to send a note to the list to introduce myself. Mike Gilbert, who has ably served as the admin of this list and the corresponding message board for many years, has decided to step down as list/board admin due to time constraints of managing the list and board, and I've agreed to handle the admin duties for both. I'd like to thank Mike for his excellent handling of the Burlington County resources at RootsWeb over the past years, and I wanted to let everyone know that I don't plan on making any major changes to the list rules or policies or procedures. I've added a couple little reminders to the footers on the list messages and a little note to the digest header. Hopefully they will be helpful. I will also be sending through all board posts via the message board gateway to the list. Please remember to click the link in a gateway message if you wish to reply to it, and post your reply on the board rather than posting a reply to those messages on the list where the board poster may not see it. As to my own connection to Burlington County research--most of my maternal ancestors are from Burlington County dating back as early as 1677. The surnames include: BORTON, LIPPINCOTT, SHINN, RIDGWAY, HAINES, EVES, LORD, WILLITS, BUTCHER, BUNTING, and on and on.
