Okay--I have a question for the list that I've had in my files for many years now. I'm wondering if anyone has the answer to the following discrepancy? The LIPPINCOTT book page 77 lists the children of Daniel LIPPINCOTT and wife Elizabeth PIMM. Daniel is the son of James LIPPINCOTT and Anna EVES. Elizabeth PIMM is the daughter of John and Mary PIMM. I've seen the will of John PIMM which specifically states that Daniel LIPPINCOTT is his son-in-law. I have never had reason to doubt the LIPPINCOTT book and the sources for the listing of Elizabeth PIMM as Daniel's wife. However... Early Church Records of Burlington County, New Jersey Volume 2, page 163, Evesham Monthly Meeting Marriages includes two listings for children of Daniel and Elizabeth LIPPINCOTT and the listings read as follows: Amos Atkinson, son of John and Mary [MIDDLETON] ASHEAD, he being dec'd., of Evesham and LIydia LIPPINCOTT, dau of Daniel and Elizabeth [HANCOCK] LIPPINCOTT, married 12th day, 3rd mo, 1767. and... Nathaniel MIDDLETON, son of Hudson and Christine [HOPEWELL] MIDDLETON of Chester, and Sarah LIPPINCOTT, dau of Daniel and Elizabeth [HANCOCK] LIPPINCOTT, married 14th day, 4th mo., 1768. My question is where did the name HANCOCK come from and how do we reconcile that with Daniel LIPPINCOTT being listed in John PIMM's will as his son-in-law? The Evesham MM records transcriptions one would assume to be accurate but--has anyone every looked into this discrepancy and whether or not Elizabeth is actually a PIMM or a HANCOCK? Joan
