My NJ lines are BALLENGER, HARDING, and possibly WADE. Quakers who arrived ca 1677 in Burlington Co NJ from England. In reviewing prior notes by researchers of these lines, I found the following notation: "Need to find out what ship Peter Pearce and wife Lydia and son John came to America in." I am assuming they were also Quakers and arrived ca 1670-1690s in NJ. Online searches of ships this era did not locate this family. We are trying to find a tie-in with a female Pearce marriage to a Wade (possibly Robert) ca 1710-1720, on the assumption that our Pearce WADE b. 1720 and married Mary Bal lenger in Goochland Co area of VA by 1744 was named for his mother's family. His family may or may not have been Quaker by the time of his birth in 1720. Many thanks for some help with 1600s Pearces in NJ. Aileen in WA
