While I know we can't change history or place names, we also need to be sensitive in our use of words on a list and board. A message came through the gateway this morning which included a term many on our list/board (including me) would find offensive. Just a note to let you know that I've removed the post from the board and initiated the process of having it removed from the list archives--and I've also notified the poster that he can repost his message without using the offensive term. From my reading of the message there was no need to use it anyway--it isn't the proper name of the place being referenced.
