I have been researching my grandmother Sarah Ann Sprouel Born 1794 for years for some information about just her. There has been some research hired, but nothing has been found about her other then her marriage in 1811 in Freehold twp., Monmouth Co. With the boundaries of the two counties and Freehold almost in both, it has been brought to my attention that I should be researching in the Matawan area because of the surname being prevalent there! The only tidbit of information of I have to go on about her father was that he was a "gunner" in the Revolutionary war. This is not for fact, just a family tale that has been passed down.
