"Conveyed to the intestate by deed from his father, ABLE GALE." also Bk. 1, page. 428, August 1802'; page. 437, November 1802 & Book 2, page 3, February 8, 1803. "Joseph Gale, Administrator Estate of Cornelius Gale, deceased} On petition for sale of real estate. The said administrator having prepared his petition to the Judges of the Court, setting forth that the said Cornelius left no personal estate, bur did seized in fee of the real estate hereinafter mentioned, that the debts of the said deceased and expenses amount to the sum exhibited in a certain account, under oath, but this petitioner now before the Court and wherefore praying that this Count would order and decree a sale of a certain tract of land containing about seventy-three acres, situate on Wading River in Township of Little Egg Harbour in the County of Burlington, bounded buy the river on the East, on the North by Marygold Creek, on the South and West by Tonkins land, conveyed to the intestate by deed from his father Able Gale, the proceeds thereof to be applied to the discharge of the said debts; NOW it appearing to the Court, upon the matter, this day opened the Court by William Griffith of counsel for the said administrator, that the allegations above set Forth ar! e true, that the prayer of the petitioner ought to be granted; It is therefore ordered and decreed by this Court that the said administrator do sell the before mentioned tract of land and premises and the appurtenance thereto belonging or so much as may be necessary at public sale for the use and proposes aforesaid according to the Act of Assembly in such case made and provided: The above taken from the Burlington County Orphan's Court proceedings: Book 1, page 163, Nov. 4 1794." ======= "Joseph Gale, Administrator Estate of Cornelius Gale, deceased} On petition for sale of real estate. "The said administrator having exhibited to this Court on solemn oath a just and true account of the personal estate of said deceased and of the debts as far as he has discovered the same by which it appears that there is not sufficient to pay the debts of the said deceased, therefore on the application of the said administrator setting forth that the said Cornelius Gale died seized of lands, tenements, herediments and real estate in the said County and praying the aid of this Court in the premises; It is ordered that all persons interested in such lands, tenements, herediments and real estate do appear before the judges of this Court on the first day of November term next at three o'clock in the afternoon of that day to show cause, if any they have, why so much of the land tenements, heredisments and real estate of the said deceased should not be sold as will be sufficient to pay the debts of the said deceased as yet unpaid." Ordered by this Court that he rule to show cause on the first day of this term be continued until the first day of next term: The above taken from Burlington Co. Orphan's Court proceedings: Bk. 1, page. 437, November 1802" ========= "Joseph Gale, Administrator Estate of Cornelius Gale, deceased} Final decree on rule to show cause. It appearing to the Court that the rule entered in this cause hath been set up and published as the law directs and now no one appearing to show any cause against the prayer of the said administrator, and it also appearing upon full examination that the personal estate of the said intestate is un sufficient to pay his debts: Therefore the Court do order the decree that said administrator to sell and dispose of according to law all then two certain tracts or pieces of land where of the said Cornelius Gale died seized, situated in the Township of Little Egg Harbour in the County aforesaid adjoining lands of John Leek ------------and others, containing about twenty ---------- acres, by the same more or less for the purpose of paying the debts of the said intestate yet unpaid.
