The IOOF stands for the International Order of Oddfellows, their ladies counterpart were Rebekahs (although the ladies may have had different names within different lodges), and there were teenage groups. I think this was mainly a fellowship organization, I belonged to a girls Theta Rho group in high school. There were state conventions and the like. I am really not sure of the origins of the group but could probably be found with an online search. Perhaps the Burlington Historical Society would have information on the Imperial Order of Red Men (which could probably also be googled).
