Vivian and all- Once in a while spam can slip through the gateway from the message board because posts on the board are not moderated and don't have to come from list subscribers the way direct list posts do. When spam hits the list in this manner, rest assured that we'll deal with it and remove it promptly. Worse than the original spam is when a list member feels the need to comment on it publicly on the list and subject everyone to the quoted spam a second time around making our job of removing the spam TWICE as hard. In the future, should you see spam come through the gateway again PLEASE do NOT comment on it on the list--just move on and trust that we will remove the spam and deal with the issue.
