    2. As a followup to this information I found an interesting note on this Robert ZANE in a WorldConnect file: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=dinska&id=I0664 Alis ALDAY was a second wife and she and Robert ZANE had no children together. It is questionable whether or not she was an Indian but since she left no ZANE descendants I guess it doesn't matter much one way or the other. Joan In a message dated 7/31/2008 11:17:57 P.M. Note: This Alis ALDAY, it is said was an Indian girl on the authority of the late Isaac NICKLE of Camden, NJ. I find no other reference anywhere to this Alis ALDAY but I do find a few references to Robert ZANE in Salem records. In 1676 Robert ZANE was one of the signers of an agreement that was the basis for a group of Friends deciding to form a meeting. On the 2nd day 12th month 1679 a meeting (Salem Friends) was held at the home of Robert ZANE. Robert ZANE was among those who signed as subscribers to purchase a meeting house in Salem County. 3. Hi Joan Thank you for this information, I would just about willing to say that since The Society of Friends kept such good records that there is a lot more American Indians listed in those books but a person would have to look at each book from front to back to find them. Again thank you until we talk again, peace be with you and yours. Theodore R.
