It usually gives the mother's maiden name and other information such as the birth place and dates for parents. If you need to hold up a DAR application because the state bc is hard to get I would send in the application with the baptismal cert. and state the state one will be send as soon as it arrives. As long as you can prove the generation connection the documents for the next generation may supply the info needed. I served 5 years as a National Vice Chairman Genealogy with Chapter Development Committee and have done over 100 applications in the last 10 years.
