Hi Erik, I found your relatives in 1920 and 1930 in New Jersey. Do you have copies of the census? I think I found them in 1910 too in NY. I also think I found the marriage--Alfred Johansen to Sigrid Charulen 28 July 1906 in Kings County New York. It is likely that they misread Clausen or it was misspelled. Here is a link to the website: _Italian Genealogical Group_ (http://www.italiangen.org/Default.htm) Click on the vital records link on the left hand side of the page. I also found Alfred's World War I and World War II Draft registrations. His birthdate changed from 1885 to 1890! Let me know what you need copies of and I will email them to you. I also think I found Alfred's death: Alfred Johansen 25 Feb 1890 died Oct 1969 Croton on Hudson Westchester, NY. Kathy Karn I found what looks like the marriage of their son. I think Sigrid and Allfred moved back to New York but first to Orange New Jersey. This notice is from the Burlington County library website. Man's name: Johansen, Jack A.C.
