Are you sure that Alfred in WWII born 1890 is the same as the one in BUrlington ,WWI draft cards born 1885??. Could it be two different perons? Hopefully the WWII image tell something about it. And if he wanted to be 5 years younger I will think that you have found his death in New York!!. Also interesting to see the obitruary of Sigrid D. Daley which I believed could be the daughter of Alfred. Unfortunately I can`t confirm if she is Alfred`s daughter. It is said that Sigrid was born in Smithville....wher is that? New Jersey? Also her brother isn`t mentioned among the predeceased familymembers.
