Try the Historical Maps of NJ at Rutgers. http://mapmaker.rutgers.edu/MAPS.html You might have to overlay modern or more recent maps to find specific place-names. An easy way to do that is to match up the rivers. This is NJ in 1795: http://mapmaker.rutgers.edu/HISTORICALMAPS/NJ_1795/index.htm NJ in 1826, counties in colors: http://mapmaker.rutgers.edu/NJ_1826.jpg 1856 has more place-names http://mapmaker.rutgers.edu/NJ_1856.jpg Scroll down on the main page for the counties. Maps vary by county, but hopefully you can find what you need.
