    3. Hi Listmembers, I'm looking for some advice on how to proceed with my search for my GGGrandfather William C Smith's parents. He was born in Burlington Co, NJ, 24 Sep 1804. He married Sarah Jane Liming, 30 Sep 1826. I have information on children, John, Louisa, Charles, William, Emily and Laura Josephine. I have all available census records on them as well back to 1850. They moved to Ohio and then to Illinois. I'm considering looking at wills for Burlington Co and have copied the Will Index pages for Smiths. Can some one recommend a logical way to search this data or is there some other search I should try first. The Family History Library has these on film but this will be a very long and difficult search. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Steve

    3. I don't know if this will help you but try this link, http://books.google.com/books?id=Ii0BAAAAQAAJ&printsec=frontcover&dq=burlington+smiths. If you haven't already seen this book on the Smiths of Burlington, NJ then it might be of some help. I have Smith's through my Rodman line but don't see your Wm Smith in what I have in my tree. I did go through some CD's I have but found nothing on a Wm Smith born in 1804. I did however find his marriage to Sarah Lenning married Sept 30, 1827. This was in NJ Marriage records for Burlington Co by H Stanley Craig, listed as being from the County Records. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. If I come across anything I'll pass it on.
