    2. Steve
    3. My 2-great grandparents were William B. and Matilda (Smith) Yard. The death certificate for Matilda shows she died in Trenton NJ at the age of 79 on December 27, 1897 and that her parents were Amos and Frances Smith. The August 4, 1837 edition of the (Trenton) State Gazette has a notice about the marriage of William B. Yard to Matilda Smith, both of Trenton; the marriage having occurred on July 19, 1837. The officiant was Rev. A. Atwood. The Amos Smith referred to on Matilda's death certificate may be the same one you mention. I am unable to locate any other information about Matilda's parents. -----Original Message----- From: MaisieAnn@aol.com [mailto:MaisieAnn@aol.com] Sent: Thursday, July 05, 2001 11:56 AM To: NJBURLIN-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [NJBurlin] AMOS SMITH, news from 1820 Anyone recognize this AMOS SMITH referred to in this news article?
