Hi: I have been researching Joseph Stackhouse b.1793 d.1873 m.Elizabeth Branning 1818 in Mt Holly. Second wife Miriam Spragg. My family story was that between marriages Joseph lived with a Lenape Indian woman who was the mother of his four children. One of which was my g.grandfather John Chambers Stackhouse b.1832 and his sister Josephine b 1836. This has been hard to prove. John would always put Elizabeth Branning and Josephine left out mothers name on marriage records and her grandmothers name was on death cert. Can any one help. Gail
