For those of you who haven't taken the time to go down the complete list of GW BUSH's geno, I will save you a little time by relating that he is yet another descendant of good ol' Richard Lippincott, who came to America in the New England migration, moved back to England as a dissenter where he became a true Quaker, came back again to Rhode Island then moved down to Shrewsbury, where he was one of the key men of that Quaker town. It seems that nearly everybody has a little Lippincott in their blood! Another huge family line that many of us NJ-PA people and President Bush share is Rev Mayhew, who owned the islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket but whose son sold them in 1659. In our Corlies family, Jerusha Mayhew, a granddaughter is the connection. The more genealogy I do, the less amazing it all becomes. As long as your kinfolk have been here for a very long time, we are bound to be inter-related. Just that weren't many people I guess. Sometimes I picture family trees as a huge fan radiating backwards but when you look at American colonial genealogy, it seems more like an hourglass. It expands back for a 150 years or so, but seems to then contract towards these founding families and progenitors, male and female. Best wishes in all of your research and discoveries, COUSIN LANCE
