Hi Folks. Decided I would ask again since it's been while. My mother's mother was born 9/4/1867 to Malcolm. McMullen and MARTHA JANE WILLS, in Shamong Twp, Burlington County NJ. I will add here what I THINK I know of Martha Jane and her family of Origin. If anyone can connect to ANY of her sibs or her parents please let me know. I have tintypes and a photo of Martha Jane, made in the 1870s. And -I have a photo of Mary Dillett Wills about age 70 made in Philadelphia.[probably 1880-something] I also have two tintypes, a girl Mary Wills and one Annie Wills, probably children of one of Martha's brothers, George James or Moses.[see below] One of these brothers may have married a Margaret, as I have another picture of an elderly woman addressed to my Grandmom signed "Aunt Margaret" in 1907. Ga m: 1866 Nj d: August 20, 1909 in Hillsborough, Fl McMullen Cemetery, Clearwater, Fl. In 1865 , a CSA Priv. from a Ga co, was captured at Gettysburg. He met Martha Jane when released from prison at war's end [Ft. Delaware?] and went across south New Jersey to reach the Ocean, he said to kill the prison lice. They moved to central Florida- where his six older brothers lived by then- in about 1879 [my Nana was 12] and then to Lakeland, Polk County Fl, where they all [Nana and her two younger sisters] lived and worked [ Bet. 1882 - 1887] in his Bro.,David McMullen's, hotel .
