I checked Craig's Camden Co. Marriage book and didn't find them there either. Sorry. Hi, I didn't see the marriage your looking for in either Burlington County Marriages nor in Gloucester County Marriages, both by H. Stanley Craig. You mentioned Washington Twp. and I believe that is in Gloucester County but I'm not sure. I went to the U.S. Gen Web for New Jersey but couldn't find maps for either Camden or Gloucester Counties. I believe that Washington Twp. was a hugh township that was carved up over time. I think all that remains is in Gloucester County. There is a H. Stanley Craig book for Camden County, maybe someone on the list can check that for you just to be certain. Camden County was formed from Gloucester County in 1844. Hi Steph The NJ State Archives site has the indexes online for marriages 1848-1867. You are in luck--your marriage is listed! Malcolm J. MCDOWELL to Mary J. WILLS in Camden, Camden County NJ 18 November 1866 Book F page 330 You can order a copy of the ledger page the marriage is recorded on from the website--I believe the fee is $10.00. You can also hire a researcher or try to find someone to do a lookup for you. I do use a researcher Ann Boldt who is wonderful--her charge is $5.00 plus postage. _NJDARM: Index to Marriage Records, 1848-1867_ (https://wwwnet1.state.nj.us/DOS/Admin/ArchivesDBPortal/Marriage1867.aspx) _NJDARM: Archives Reference Services_ (http://www.state.nj.us/state/darm/links/reference.html#collections) _ahboldt@aol.com_ (mailto:ahboldt@aol.com) Kathy Karn **************Gas prices getting you down? If your "Jane Moon" married Robert Denton 1738 in Burlington Co and moved to sIrginia, then she is different than the "Jane Moon" who married Francis Hickman 1742 in Burlington. I am interested in the Francis Hickman who married Jane Moon, 3 Nov 1742, Burlington Co, NJ. Was he the grandson of immigrant Francis Hickman of Chester Co, PA.? Was he father of Samuel Hickman, who lived in Burlington Co, but later moved to Greene Co, PA, in late 1780's? Is Jane Moon related to the Jasper Moon, who died 1726 in Burlington? After 1860 the family was basically in Beverly and I have been using resources at the Burlington County Library, Riverfront Historical Society, Burlington County Historical Society and the NJ State Archives. (Some of these were discovered from previous help from the users of this Message Board - my thanks). Isaac's parents are Charles and Margaret Woolston and while I know a few things about them, specfics about the family and early history have been elusive. I may have found Charles in the 1830 Census for Northampton, Burlington County -- page 9 of 74. As I understand it Northampton covered a large geographic area. Can anyone tell me based on the page # where this entry was likely to reside? On a related question are there any local resources in Evesham, Meford, or Lumberton I could consider using. Charles owned property in Lumberton in 1827-1830 and Isaac and his family was in Evesham during the 1860 census. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. > It appears you have a mix-up in your families. Well that could be. I will print your email and go over it. Rachel Sharp married George M. Heisler. I have a marriage date of 5 Mar. 1831. I will look up the source and let you know. Also, I have a photo of Rachel Sharp Heisler given to me by a Heisler relative, and I have a photo of her grave that I took on a trip back to NJ several years ago. I will email both to you, as I don't think the list accepts attachments. Many of the Heisler family are buried in Monument Cemetery in Burlington, and her grave is among those.
