    3. Transcription for Sykesville is here online: http://files.usgwarchives.org/nj/burlington/cemeteries/syksville.txt Comment "The whereabouts of the Church records is not known." The listing of this one looks rather short (small cemetery?). Jacobstown book, if this is the one, might be: Cemetery transcriptions, Jacobstown, Burlington County, NJ : Jacobstown Baptist Church Cemetery, Jacobstown Methodist Episcopal Cemetery, Jacobstown Masonic Cemetery (Schoolhouse) / compiled by Doris S. Semon. Notes on this book: Compiled alphabetical list of tombstones and burials in 3 cemeteries in Jacobstown, Burlington County, New Jersey. Compiled in notebook binder by Doris S. Semon from 1984-2005. This book is at Burlington County Library, 5 Pioneer Boulevard, Westampton, NJ 08060. Phone: (609) 267-9660. (Same number the earlier message has). There is a 2003 edition and a 3005 edition there, and both are supposedly checked in now. Good Luck, Liz J 2008/9/7 Barbara <b.bonner@att.net>: > Do they only take phone calls or fax? So it looks like what I am looking for is info from both of them. Any idea how to get to the info for Jacobstown? 3. Do they only take phone calls or fax? I am looking for the records from the Jacobstown Methodist Church cemetery records. I've called the church but evidently it changed hands and the current people aren't happy with the phone calls they've gotten from people looking for information - and they have none of the cemetery records. I met the people from the Genealogical Society of NJ at the Federation of Genealogical Societies conference, and they had a book of records but show that their copy of these cemetery records were missing, someone took them from the folder. If you can help me, I am looking for some specific people's cemetery information. One other question - does anyone know of something called the "Sykesville" Cemetery ? Thanks for any pointers you might have. Regards, Barbara

    3. Thank you so much. The parents names had completely eluded me. I lived on orr road until I was 9 and we played every time she was at her grandparents. I went to her house a few times after I moved but that was the last I saw of her. I found her once and she was married and living in that same house but I don't know what happened after that. Thanks again, even to remind of her parents names. I used to live in Chesterfield but moved away in 1979 when I was 9 years old. I had a good friend named Christine Early who lived with her family in Jacobstown. We kept in touch for a while and then lost touch. In the 1980's (mid I think), her parents were killed in a plane crash and her sister Elaine was injured but survived. We regained touch once several years after this but then lost touch again. I am looking for anyone that might remember this family or this incident. I had no luck with the NY times online or google. 3. Hi Laura; I tried looking in Newsbank for an article, but had no luck either. I also checked classmates.com for both Elaine and Christine but they are not registered. As for the article, I would try contacting the Burlington County Times: Burlington County Times -- Headquarters Website: www.phillyburbs.comPhone: (609) 871-8000Fax: (609) 871-0490Address: 4284 US Rt 130 N Willingboro, NJ 08046-Most newspapers have a library and a librarian or someone who can try to find the article for you if it was written up in their paper. You could also try the Burlington County Library to see if they can find anything on the article.*Burlington County Library System | 5 Pioneer Boulevard | Westampton, NJ 08060Phone: (609) 267-9660 | Fax: (609) 267-4091 *Do you know if either girl married? There are several hits in US Search for people with those names in various states (but not NJ.) You can do a basic search for free and you'll find the city, state and sometimes age listed. You have to enter an approximate age, but it doesn't have to be close. Sometimes a middle name is listed. If you see a hit that looks promising, you have to pay to get the full address and/or phone. However, if you find a town listed, you can try looking in www.anywho.com to see if there's a phone listed in their name. Of course a lot of younger people are relying solely on cell phones so that may not pan out, but worth a try. The above information will not pan out if they have married, but it's worth a try.
