    3. We would like to make contact with any descendants of William Clinton or Richard C. Wilson, who ran the shipyard at Bordentown in the mid 1800's. William Clinton and his wife Harriet Ducasse came to Bordentown from Philadelphia between 1846-1850. Their children were Francis H (md Caroline Reeves), Catherine (md Peter Rudrauff), Mary R (md Samuel Weeks) and Richard Wilson Clinton (md. Julia Johnston). Richard C Wilson was probably born in Burlington County. He married in Philadelphia, Susan Gominger. They moved to Bordentown in the mid-1840s. They had a total of 9 children; at least two died in childhood in Philadelphia. After Susan's death in 1847, Richard married Sarah V Imlay of Bordentown, and they had three children. Richard & Susan's children, those who lived to adulthood: Anna (md Charles Robbins Ford), Joseph (md Sarah Schuyler of Burlington), William (md Kate Smith of Bordentown), Alexander (md. Eleanor___). Richard & Sarah's children, all born in Bordentown: Richard Imlay Wilson (md Mary Huff of Paulsboro), Robert Dixon Wilson, Susan Gominger Wilson. Richard C. Thanks a million !!! I knew about Sidney F. & Mory...but I can't be sure that's the same Thomas...as it's listed as Thomas 'E'. Forman, which in all probability he would have carried (the middle initial) w/ him in the 1880 census. This all came about as a result of NO information imparted to my brother & myself when we were kids, as to who our Great Grandfather was, on our Father's side...he never mentioned his Grandfather to us (or anyone)...not once. We knew *our* Grandfather was a chap named George Pooley Forman, from Philadelphia...& how 'Thomas' came about was...ancestry.com found him as the Father of a George P. Forman, in that 1880 census. Living in the same household under Thomas was his half-Brother, George Pooley. So...it became a 95% probability for me me that the namesake of Thomas' first male child was that of his Brother. Its way too close a probability to be coincidence to me...being almost a direct association. How many George Pooley Forman's could there be residing in Philadelhia in 1880, anyway? Also...I never knew RootsWeb had local affiliates, such as Counties, as I'm very new to this game. So...thank you & everyone for all the info you've imparted. I now have places to go to chase down Thomas Forman in Chesterfield Twp. back in the day. Thanks again, Mark Forman Bordentown, NJ Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I found her (and Thomas) in a WorldConnect tree here: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=jmdt-garners&id=I7062 Amanda had married before her marriage to Thomas to a man named William REPSHAR. I found this couple on the 1870 census living in Camden, NJ. Camden, Middle Ward 1870 William REPSHAR, age 24, Blacksmith, born PA Amanda REPSHAR, age 18, born PA William REPSHAR, age 1, born NJ Harriet GARNER, age 38, born PA Georgiana GARNER, age 7, born PA Harry GARNER, age 16, born PA So, from the above it appears that Amanda's mother and younger siblings were living with Amanda and her first husband and that there was a son from this first marriage. William isn't with Amanda and Thomas in 1880 -- so possibly both the husband and son died before Amanda's marriage to Thomas. He married a Pennsylvania woman between 1870 and 1880 and disappears before the 1900 census but does appear to have still be living in 1890 as he appears in the Philadelphia City Directory that year--although the 6 year old child was born in NJ--so the family may have moved back and forth between NJ and Phila. Information on each listing follows: 1870 Philadelphia Census, Ward 15, District 44 In the household of Edward LANCEY a Machinist we have: Thos. FOREMAN, age 20, born NJ, also listed as a Machinist (as are several other apparently unrelated occupants in this household). 1880, Philadelphia PA Dist. 364 (North 5th St.) Thomas FORMAN, age 30, Beltman, born NJ and parents born NJ Amanda FORMAN, wife, age 29, born PA and parents born PA Harriet C. FORMAN, Dau., age 6, born NJ, father born NJ mother born PA. George P., son, age 1 1890 Philadelphia City Directory: Thomas FORMAN Occupation: Cutter Home: 2141 Nicholas Hope this helps. NJ. Also living there is Mory(probably Mary), 40, b. NJ. & several other children as well as Thomas. Also living there is a William Leining/Leiming, age 73, a harness maker. On the 1850 census in Chesterfield, Sidney & Mary Forman are listed. Sidney is the head of household & two of the same children as on the 1860 are with them (Deborah & Alice)I think that most likely Sidney & Mary Forman are the parents of your Thomas Forman. It`s unlikely anyone living in Chesterfield today is going to be familiar with a family who lived there 150 years ago. Your best bet might be to contact the Burlington co. Historical Society to see if they have any info. on this Forman family. Check the Burlington Co. USgenweb site for the address & more info. on resources for the county. http://tinyurl.com/5odmf4 If you know where/when Thomas died his death certificate might confirm his parents names. Pat R.
