    1. [NJBurlin] Has anyone lost a John Jones?
    2. I found him in Ovid, Seneca, NY. Poor dear was over eighty years old in 1838 when he applied for a pension (Rev. War service). He was so old he couldn't remember a lot...and in a typical bureaucratic mess, his papers in a county Judge's possession were lost when the judge moved to Michigan. So...he was born ca 1758. Claims to have been born in Springfield, Burlington County. Served in the Revolutionary War. Emigrated to Seneca County, NY He had at least one unnamed relation in 1838 who was attempting to help me with his pension application. I would be happy to share the pension file with anyone who has an interest in this fine old man. Georgia Whitson

    3. I am looking for any information that I can find on Elizabeth Lamb b. 1775. She married Frazee Bishop in 1797. They left the N.J. area and settled in Butler Co. Ohio in 1800. I have noticed a lot of Lamb info this week and am wondering if she may be connected to this Lamb line. I am sorry but at this time I have no other information to go on. Thanks for any help that anyone can give me. Robin in Wi.

    3. This will is a good example of why it is important to check will abstracts against the original will whenever possible. The New Jersey Calendar of Wills Series has (for this will) son, Jacob, married to Elizabeth, whereas it is son, John. Please note my new e-mail address at end of this will. Thanks. 2. John Clemans ( wife Abigail ) from Chester Twp Burlington Co NJ sold property in Harrison Co WV in 1797 to a Job Clemans of Bucks County , PA. I have found a 1748 will of an Edward Clemanes of Chester , Burlington Co NJ (wife Elizabeth) with sons Benjamin, Judah and Ephraim. Benjamin age 19 chose Samuel Stokes as his guardian. Does anyone have any information which might tie John Clemans to Edward or to one of his sons? The daughter of John Clemens and his wife Abigail married a John Law and about 1815 lived in Stokes Twp, Madison County Ohio. Any information on the Clemens family( who spelled their name in a variety of ways) would be deeply appreciated. Jessie, Calif.

    2. Jane
    3. I have a question ! If I join Camden Historical Society would I also have privileges at Burlington Historical Society? Or would I need to join both? My family were from Camden, Delanco, Merchantville, Moorestown, Pennsauken. Also how would I find info about the Justice of the Peace in the Burlington area? What do I need to research? Many thanks Jane Schumar@ptd.net --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Version: 6.0.237 / Virus Database: 115 - Release Date: 3/7/01
