Hello List,Would anyone know what the names of the cemetaries are called on Rt.537 in Mt.Holly??One is called Mt.Moriah, there is one next to that and then a Catholic cemetary across the street??My mother remembers bits and pieces every once in a while and she says she visited dead relatives there when she was a girl.I am not sure how accurate what she remembers is,so I do not know if there is even a MT.Moriah cemetary there.Does any of this ring a bell with anyone?? Hello Everyone - I'm new to this list, so first let me introduce myself. My name is Deborah Johnson and I live in California. My name by birth is MINGIN, Johnson is my step father's last name, long nasty story! Anyway, I'm trying, with much difficulty to trace my MINGIN line. All attempts in Salem, Gloucester and Cumberland Counties have failed to produce anything past my great great grandfather, except for his parents names, so, I will now share this information with you, as my next lead are some births from Florence, NJ, located in Burlington County. Please let me know if you can assist me! :-) William MINGIN married Emma LONG - this is all I know on them. They had the following children: Irving - born 8/21/1886 in Florence, NJ Clarence - born 1/1/1892 - he married Ruby M. BENNETT around 1920 - these are my great grandparents. Albert - born 5/21/1896 Merrill - born 6/19/1919 Samuel Loren - born 1/12/1899 William Jr. - He went by Howard Emma Maggie Bertha - all three daughters died young. Clarence and Ruby had one child, Clarence, born in 1922 - that is my grandfather, he's still living, but his 80 year old memory is not so good. Clarence married Pearl Marie Smith around 1940, they had Clarence and Robert, Clarence was my father, he passed in 1985. I have a lot more information on this line from my great grandfather and his siblings on down, and am looking primarily to see if anyone recognizes any of the children of William and Emma LONG MINGIN, or can help me in locating the information for William and Emma LONG. That is why I kept it brief, I don't want to overwhelm anyone! :-) Take care - Deb
I put in 25 Charles Street in Burlington in Yahoo Maps. It gave a real result. Does anyone have a clue what is there now? In 1920 I have it shown to be a house -- the only one on that side of the street. Is it still there as a house? Thanks, Vince Summers

Is there SKS out there who would be willing to look up the following: 1830 NJ Census "DOUGHERTY, Jno" Hunterdon County, Trenton City
Vince, The questions regarding how long a couple were married and how many children they had had were not asked in 1920 - only in 1900 and 1910, I think. The only information you don't have here is that both Wayne & Alice could read, write & speak English. I think you've got the rest. So, if you have already found Wayne or Alice in the 1910 census, you'll have to settle for knowing they were married between 1900 and 1910. ;-) Given the quality of Philadelphia vital records, that's probably not good enough to be helpful. If you haven't found them in 1910 yet, maybe you'll get lucky and find them. Mike Gilbert <NJBURLIN-ADMIN@RootsWeb.com>
Here is a census I was given. This is great. What I am wondering, though, is if some of the data is not shown. If so, is there anyone on this list who can find that out for me? Specifically, I would like to find out how many years they were married in 1920. If I am very fortunate, it might be back in the time in Philadelphia when marriage indexes were recorded, and maybe they will have been wed in Phila., which is where they were born and raised. Thanks, Vince Summers 1920 Burlington County, Palmyra Township, Federal Census: House Number 25 Charles Street, the only house on the north side of the street. 85th dwelling to be visited. It just amazes me that my family must almost have never mentioned him in my presence, as I tended to "pick up" anything that was dropped within my hearing... Thanks again, folks... Vince Summers
I've had great success in actually contacting the school in which I am interested. Most schools keep at least one copy of the year book on hand and if you ask nicely, they will let you photo copy the page in which you are interested. I found my great Aunt, Beulah Fenimore, who was a principal in a Philadelphia highschool. I got copies of her photographs and "advices" for the length of her stay there which was many years. I hope you might be as successful as I've been. Good luck, Georgia
Hi Holly, I can't remember the exact dates, but have seen Burlington City yearbooks at the Burlington County Historical Society for the late teens and into the twenties. If you called or emailed them, I'm sure they could let you know what years are in their collection. Good luck! Kathy Karn
Holly, Sometimes the local newspapers published pictures of high school graduates. Some local papers do cover that period. In Burlington it would be the Daily Enterprise. Jasmine, Thanks so much for posting that yearbook that's for sale on ebay. I checked the index and didn't see any of my surnames. However... does anyone on the list know if yearbooks for that high school exist at the Burlington Historical Society or any libraries in the county? Would LOVE to see a photo of my grandmother during that time period in her life, or her siblings whom I've never seen before. Time period I'm interested in would be roughly 1902-1926. Thanks for any info, Holly Knott in Bucks Co., PA HollyKnott@aol.com
