    3. Dear List, I would like to hear from anyone descended from the family of Edward Tonkin, b. 1619, who died in Burlington Co, NJ, on 3/14/1690 or 1691. His son, John, married Susannah ?. Their son, Edward, (b. 1706, d. 4/5/1768 in Burlington Co, NJ) married Mary Cole, daughter of Samuel Cole and Mary Kendall. One of their 9 children, Israel Tonkin, was my 4th-great-grandfather. I am trying to document all the Tonkins living in PA and southern NJ from the 1600's to the early 1900's, and identify the various Rachels, Williams, Edwards, Charles's, etc, so I can figure out which are in my direct line. You may write to me either on-list or off-list. Thanks in advance for your participation. Janet T. 3. Dear List, For any and all that have been looking for tombstone inscriptions for Cedar Grove Cemetery. A woman a few years back transcribed the tombstones for this cemetery. She had a book made ( I have seen and used it). is at the Atlantic County Historical society. I wanted to have the book copied but they only permit a few pages at a time as they charge .15 a sheet or maybe it is a quarter, anyway if anyone is interested this is where you will find it. 1. [NJBurlin] 1830 Census Smith's help
    2. Steve Peterson
    3. Hi Listmembers, There is probably a better way to do this but I'm trying to narrow down my William Smith in NJ in 1830. I know he was married to Sarah Liming(Leming), date unknown(maybe 1826). He was born in 1804 or 05. They had at least 1 son in NJ, John B. He was born c 1833 in Burlington Co, NJ. They moved to Ohio by 1840 where the rest of their children were born. In 1857 they are in Illinois. I'm trying to find his parents. His middle name is "Coats" and I thought he might have been the son of Daniel and Hannah Coats Smith but I find that their William died young. I have had a lot help from the good people from the Liming side but so far nothing on William. I have listed the Smiths in the County with males in the 20 - 30 age group in hopes that some one might be able to identify them. If you do could you let me know if they do or don't have a William age 25. I especially would like to know if anyone has the William in Chesterfield Twp. He matches with the age but they have 1 daughter and I don't know if they had any children that early. I know this is a long shot but maybe I can narrow down the list. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.
