Is anyone researching the William H Wood family that appears in the 1850 census in New Hanover Twp? Wm's wife is Louisa __________ and they were married abt 1846-47. In the 1860 census, William and Louisa Wood are in Illinois and are living next door to a James Higgins, born in NJ. Is Louisa's maiden name Higgins? Barbara
Brown researchers: In researching other names I have often researched lines collectively and collected information on things that may or may not have been in my line. With that being said, I am hopeful maybe some of you have done the same with the brown line. I am looking for the parents of a Vestie Brown. Her parents were John Brown and Abigail. Vestie was born 1824 in the Medford area. I have not been able to track any siblings. If anyone has any ideas or have come across any information on John Married to an abigail I would be greatful. Vestie went on to marry a Samuel Baker. Many thanks Linda Skehan [email protected]
Jeff That is wonderful. My maternal line were all from Beverly and thereabouts. The Beverly Bee has some great historical columns. One of my cousins writes occasionally. I would love to see some information about immigrants to the County. My Faunt GreatGrandfather came from Ireland to Willingborough with his parents in 1869 where his father worked at the rope works.I wonder if there are records that can be accessed for that?Immigration records or industry records. Everyone, I was a little glib and hasty in saying that all the old data was lost. Many of you have copies of your data that you had submitted and I'm now retrieving some from an internet archive site. Although it wasn't handed to me, I'll probably be able to reconstruct most of the data that was on the old site. Sorry about the confusion. Hello List, It's Lora Bearden aka Scoutmom5. I was Diane's Co-coordinator for the Burlington County page. I have no clue what happened to the old site, I emailed Diane over and over trying to get her to either update or let me take it over. No luck. All the info, gone. I still have all the info. I contributed, cemeteries, obits, bible records, photos, etc. So I will be sending Jeff everything all over to get this site up and going Lora
Hi, Jeff. Thank you so much for volunteering to coordinate this website. There was so much valuable information previously, but then became inaccessible. Looking forward to perusing it. Aileen in WA
Don't worry, Jeff. You can recapture all of your data by going to http://www.archive.org and typing in your main page URL. Then look at archived versions of your page. Hope this helps. I checked all files before I loaded the new website files, and what I found were a handful of icons, a couple headstone pics, and empty subdirectories. To look on the bright side - we have a clean slate. I'll be glad to load things that you send me - so let the contributions commence! :) Sincerely, Jeff Lane __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
