Westchester County Genealogical Society (NY) Upcoming Meeting MEETING NOTICE Hope you can make it to the Westchester County Genealogical Society (WCGS) Upcoming Meeting! It will be this coming Saturday. TOPIC: “Incorporating Memoirs into Fiction” a talk by Edith Glass at their meeting on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 10am. Guests are welcome ($3 donation). There will be refreshments and genealogical networking starting at 9:30am. Mrs. Glass’s novel “Voices – Echoes from the Depths of the Holocaust” was published last year. The lecture describes how the seeds for this book were planted in her mind as a child. Mrs. Glass was born and raised in New York City, the daughter of immigrant parents. She received her bachelor's degree from SUNY-New Paltz and her master's degree from Long Island University. She spent most of her teaching career in the school district in Armonk, New York.
