New Ulm was one center of emmigrants from Wolfurt in the 1850ies to 1880ies in the first wave of emmigration. Therefore you will find there many names which are common in Wolfurt and in the Bergen county area, which was the main emigration area of the embroidery crisis driven emmigrants, which was the second wave of emmigration.
