I have copies of the two records mentioned in your email and I thought you may be interested in the correct lengthy windy title pages for your records. Bergen County, New Jersey Marriage Records Compiled by Mrs. Frances A Westervelt, Curator of the Bergen County Historical Society. Copied from the Entries as Originally Made at the Court House by the Ministers and Justices of the Peace of the County. Publishers Lewis Historical Publishing Company, Inc. New York 1929. 116 pp. Indexed by Nicholas G Blauvelt, 1946. 82 pp. Comment: In my records I call this book BCM = Bergen County Marriages by Westervelt. Documents Relating to the Colonial History of the State of New Jersey. Volume XXII. Marriage Records, 1665-1800. Edited with an Historical Introduction on the Early Marriage Laws of New Jersey, and the Precedents on which they were Founded, by William Nelson. Published by he Press Printing and Publishing Co., 269 Main Street, Paterson, N.J. 1900. Reissued by Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc. 1973. 465 pp. Comment: This book called Marriage Records lists Marriage Licenses NOT marriages. At the top of every other page in this book it says "Marriage Licenses". I don't know why it is called marriage records on the title page. It has caused a lot of confusion. In my records I call this NJA:22 = New Jersey Archives Vol.XXII, marriage licenses.
