George W. Newkirk died Sunday at his home, 262 Bergen Avenue, Jersey City, of consumption. He was born in this city April 29, 1847, and was at one time a member of the Fourth Regiment, New Jersey National Guard. A widow and two children survive him. Funeral services will be held at his late residence this afternoon. - New York Times Sept. 20, 1891, pg. 7 ~~~ Jacob Brinckerhoff Newkirk died at his home, 505 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, on Saturday of pneumonia. He was born on the old Newkirk farm in 1888. Newkirk, died at her home, 262 Bergen Avenue, Jersey City, yesterday, from debility incident to old age. She was born in the Bergen district of Jersey City in 181? (sorry can't make this number out). Newkirk, an author, died here to-day, aged 93.
