Hi, You and your cousin are first cousins because you share a pair of common grandparents. Then, your children and your cousin's children are second cousins due to a common pair of great-grandparents. The relationship between you and your cousin's children is "first cousins once removed". Removed means that a common generation is skipped. I know this is rather confusing. The Internet should have some relationship charts that you could print for handy reference. Now folks, let's all sing along.... "I'm my own grandpa"... :-) (I could never understand that song, but supposedly it's true!!!) Beverly G. Thanks to all, I will definitely go to one of the sites and print out the info so I can have it at hand. I asked because I met by accident (he was a volunteer at Clark House where I went)on a genealogy trip to Pa. a person who shared greatgrandparents with me and I wondered what exactly our relationship was. Again thanks for all the responses. Gretchen ----- Original Message ----- From: "Beverly G.
