I thought about many of those things and actually suspect that it may have been an elderly home or something similar; he would have been eighty six and I don't know that he actually lived there very long. His wife died in 1990, seven years earlier, in the Bronx, so I imagine at some point he realized he couldn't live alone in the Bronx and maybe went to the nearest place across the GW Bridge - perhaps to be close to family. There are countless "Budd" surnamed people in Bergen County, so perhaps one is a son/grandson. I know he had twins but don't know names or sexes, or whether they both lived. I have had a lot of trouble finding obits for the folks in my family who had less money. Obituaries would probably save the day though in many of these cases because the records sometimes are difficult to even read. By the way, I bit the bullet and already paid at the state level... guess I will have my fingers crossed about it. I found out, since yesterday, that I can use ProQuest remotely, but didn't have much success there and couldn't even find either of my grandfather's obituaries (1997 and 2007), so I guess they still have a long way to go to get ALL the newspapers. Thanks for all the input! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
