    3. FYI from don smith's page MYSpace page [http://profile.myspace.com/ index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=30283064] My name is Don Smith. I am a writer from Hawthorne, NJ with a growing writing career. I live with my beautiful wife, Laura, and my cats - Silent Bob, Merlin, and Banjo. My first book - "Hawthorne" - came out in May of 2006. It gives a look at aspects of Hawthorne, NJ's past. Most of my time my writing can be seen in "The Gazette" and "Community News" which are weekly newspapers owned by North Jersey Media Group. I am in the process now of writing a book detailing the Van Winkle murders of 1850 in Hawthorne. I am currently working to edit the first draft of my first novel and finishing up my first screenplay.
