Rachel Doremus bought a home from Henry Hopper at Crooked Pond. It was then sold to Abraham Brower in 1801 and John Willis subsequently bought the home next door that belonged to Jacob Van Houten's heirs. Both houses were standing in 1906. Does anyone have any information on these houses. If I'm correct, the area would now be Franklin Lakes, somewhere near Colonial Road and Franklin Lakes Road. Are these homes still in existence?
