My great-grandparents were John Henry Newkirk and Emma Coe. Emma's mother was LOUISA DEGROAT - Louisa was born in Haverstraw NY and died 1892 in Yonkers NY. I don't know if we have a fit at all - but that is all the information I have about the De Groat's and wish I had more! Good luck to you...
