Thanks Dianne & everyone I have found out quite a lot in the past 12 hours, I have most of the census material and shipping records for the family, I am now on the brink of contacting living relatives, one added bonus is that father & son Ernest J Dabinet played leading roles in the local newspaper The Leader, I have written a short article for their newspaper this afternoon, so fingures crossed they will print it. One suprising piece of evidence that came from the census, was that my 3 x greatgrandmother Sarah Jane Hall nee Stacey a widow at the time aged in her late 50's, emigrated with her daughter and nephews and nieces, so I guess she is buried in New Jersey, so my next task will be to track down her grave and possible headstone. I have had some good and bad days researching family history, but this as to rank as a very good day.
