My aunt Sophia married a Van Giesen. Caldwell was also known as Horse Neck Tract, Gansegat and Fairfield. The area was primary Dutch. Acquannock is what is now Passaic, NJ. Acquannock is where the big church was back in the 1700s. Look for a map by Thomas Ball from 1769.
