    1. [NJBERGEN] David D Haring, weaver
    2. Regina Haring
    3. Does anyone have information about how, when or why David D Haring, the weaver, came to be known as David Daniel Haring? That's what he appears as on sites that deal with his weaving, such as the Metro. Museum of Art. "The Tree of Life", a publication of the Bergen County Historical Society says that he was the son of Daniel A. Haring by his second wife, Mariah Alyie. However he was baptized in Tappan in 1800 as David to parents David and Maria Alyea. I think his father was David Abraham Haring of the 4th generation, Abraham in the 3rd, Abraham in the 2nd and then Jan Pieters Haring the immigrant. Ackerman's Genealogy of the Harings is confusing about this family and differs from what is on the Rockleigh website http://www.rockleigh.org/history/Families/Haring_Family.htm Regina Haring http://www.dutchdoorgenealogy.com
