    3. Hi Arnold, I was searching the NJ Supreme Court cases and came up with a William Day and a Garret Lydecker - 1782, Appeal on Debt, https://wwwnet1.state.nj.us/DOS/Admin/ArchivesDBPortal/SupremeCourt.aspx. My Mary Day (born 1793) had a younger brother, William H. Day born about 1810 (so obviously not the same one as above - nor is the Garret the same one born 1797). But since names tended to be re-used .....??? Gary P.S. Other than William H. Day (who was a physician), the only other thing I know about the Day family is some of the other siblings and whom they married. None were Lydecker. There was a Catherine who married a Mr. Allen, a Betsy who married an Edward Field, a Sally who married a Mr. Wheeler, a Rachel who married a Mr. Ferrand, a Jane who married a Mr. Maybie, and a Margaret who married a Mr. Lemming. This was gotten from the father's will (Henry Day). > -----Original Message----- > From: njbergen-bounces@rootsweb.com > [mailto:njbergen-bounces@rootsweb.com]On Behalf Of AEP > Sent: Monday, March 03, 2008 8:21 PM > To: gc-gateway@rootsweb.com; njbergen@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [NJBERGEN] Christian Day 1819 Bergen Pompton > > > on 03/03/2008 09:59 PM, gc-gateway@rootsweb.com at gc-gateway@rootsweb.com > wrote: > > > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > > > Author: GarySanders > > Surnames: Day, Engle > > Classification: queries > > > > Message Board URL: > > > > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newjersey > .counties.be > > rgen/3294.1/mb.ashx > > > > Message Board Post: > > > > I don't have a Christian Day - but I have a Henry Day. 3. Hi Gary, I noted with interest the name of Garret Lydecker. The son of John and Gertrude EDSALL is Garret L. (1850 census, Hackensack) I believe the initial is for LYDECKER, though I can't find the reference. Do you know if Gertrude is Gertrude LYDECKER? I believe that is the connection. I don't find a marriage record (yet) for their union. Can you, or anyone else help? Best wishes, David Tileston Edsall Amherst MA ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gary Sanders" <gary@sandersdata.com> To: <njbergen@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, March 05, 2008 4:58 AM Subject: Re: [NJBERGEN] Christian Day 1819 Bergen Pompton Hi Arnold, I was searching the NJ Supreme Court cases and came up with a William Day and a Garret Lydecker - 1782, Appeal on Debt, https://wwwnet1.state.nj.us/DOS/Admin/ArchivesDBPortal/SupremeCourt.aspx.

Or any idea when she was married? I have several Garret LYDECKERs going back into the mid 1600s on Long Island (New Amsterdam). Among the distaff members of this clan is a Geertie (loosely translatable as Gertrude.) My data suggests she was born ca1760 --- probably too early for your connection. That said, it looks like we are nibbling at the same family. Regards, Arnold <><><><><><><><><><><> Arrowhead Images <aepalmer@a-znet.com> <><><><><><><><><><><> For sale: one used parachute.
