Edwin Hawley of Leonia NJ was killed in China on 17 Jun 1924. He left a wife in the US. This was in the 19 Jun 1924 edition of the Jersey Observer, page one, column 6, below the fold. It's on reel 5169 at either the NJ State Library or the State Archives in Trenton, NJ. Sorry I can't remember where it was but I was at both places that day and neglected to write that down. I just found the note today and can't remember, of course. This looks like the family, even though no children were mentioned in the paper.
