Thanks Dianne & everyone I have found out quite a lot in the past 12 hours, I have most of the census material and shipping records for the family, I am now on the brink of contacting living relatives, one added bonus is that father & son Ernest J Dabinet played leading roles in the local newspaper The Leader, I have written a short article for their newspaper this afternoon, so fingures crossed they will print it. One suprising piece of evidence that came from the census, was that my 3 x greatgrandmother Sarah Jane Hall nee Stacey a widow at the time aged in her late 50's, emigrated with her daughter and nephews and nieces, so I guess she is buried in New Jersey, so my next task will be to track down her grave and possible headstone. I have had some good and bad days researching family history, but this as to rank as a very good day. Am needing a little help from NEW JERSEY...I have an obit from THE HERALD NEWS dated March 21, 1955...and am looking for JOHN CERULLO one of the First Barbers in Wallington...It says that MARROCCO MEMORIAL HOME did the service. I have written to them to try to find out where John Cerullo might be buried but so far they have not answered. I have also written to Mt. Carmel R. C. Church but it doesn't say where this is.. Quite awhile back I did a FindaGrave search and didn't turn up anything...Thanks for your time and have a good HOLIDAY SEASON and MERRY CHRISTMAS...for now and till then.
I am also searching for obituary's of my ancestor. The familys name is VELTEN, Dora or Doris was a sister to my great grand-dad. I don't know much about their family, but she died in 1966. She had a son and daughter, named Conrad and Dora, also grandchildren with these names. Would it be possible to check if there are any Velten obituary's that might be there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
