    3. Hi to all on the list My name is Bryan Dix and I am new to the list and am hoping that SKS may be able to assist me with a look up in any city directory for an Alfred or an Elizabeth DIX who resided at no: 16 Weaterveld Place in Teaneck in the years 1910 - 1965. I am not too sure when Alfred died but it was sometime before his wife Elizabeth who died December 1965. I have all the census data (1910 - 1930) but am just wanting to try and assertain if they lived at this same address after 1930. Any help would be most appreciated. Also if there is a local on the list who might be able to take some photo's of this residence please contact me off list. I would be willing to pay all costs. 1. Re: [NJBERGEN] Abraham Forshay, b: 28 May 1889 Campgaw, NJ
    2. Pat Wardell
    3. Hi Bill -- I don't have proof of his parents (but since he married as Abram Forshay, Jr., perhaps his father was also Abram Forshay and his mother may have been Agnes Ramsey). I do have the following: Abram Forshay (b. 28 May 1889; d. May 1986), m. (1) 30 Apr 1912 Archer Memorial Methodist Ch, Allendale, NJ (he of Campgaw), Elsie Mowerson, dau. of Albert Mowerson & Sara Jane Eckerson. Elsie was b. 7 Dec 1888; d. 24 Jan 1964. She was living in Saddle River in 1947. Abram Forshay m. (2) Anne -?-. She was b. 23 Dec 1900; d. 3 May 1993. I don't believe he had children with either wife. Campgaw was locality in Bergen County, N.J., mostly in what is present day Franklin Lakes, but possibly also partially in present day Oakland, Mahwah, and Wyckoff. The name was in use by 1700, when it appears on an Indian deed. There are at least two interpretations of the Indian name: one suggests the name is from a personal name of a particular Indian, and the other suggests the meaning "ground hog." Variant spellings include Campque, Kamgwah, Campua, and Comp Gough. Campgaw was a station (in 1909) on the New York, Susquehanna & Western Railroad. Also called Kunschitown.
