In answer to your questions-- 1. Wallington, NJ? Did they have any? Or was it in part of another one? Wallington became a borough in 1895. It had been part of Bergen Township since 1893. Before that it was part of Lodi Township. The census uses these civil divisions. We did not index Wallington or any of these townships. There is a census for the Wallington area in any year that includes Bergen County. 2. Did all Counties have this State Census in NJ? For a description of the available State Censuses see this page at the New Jersey State Archives website: http://www.njarchives.org/links/webcat/queries/sestat01.html 3. If so has anyone else indexed those Counties? Or plan to? I recently learned that ancestry.com is planning on indexing all of the State Censuses including New Jersey. 4 Dose anyone know of a plan on digitizing the Microfilms and have them online or on CD/DVD? I know the equipment is out there, to do just that. Perhaps ancestry.com will do that. This is very good my complements and thanks for a job well done. I do have a few questions as follows: 1. Wallington, NJ? Did they have any? Or was it in part of another one? 2. Did all Counties have this State Census in NJ? 3. If so has anyone else indexed those Counties? Or plan to? 4 Dose anyone know of a plan on digitizing the Microfilms and have them online or on CD/DVD? I know the equipment is out there, to do just that. I ask about Wallington because I had family living there until they moved to Vineland, NJ and had a farm that I had lived on until I was about 7 or 8 yrs old. The last name was spelled on of several ways VonBartheld, vonBartheld, Bartheld and I have seen it other ways also like Vanbartheld. Trying to find a marriage: in Wallington, NJ for Fredrick Herman bartheld or VonBartheld, Born: 1876 in NYC & Catherine Anna Kuhn, Born: 1881 in NYC. Their first Child was born: 1903 in Wallington, NJ as was all their son's the last one was born: 1912 in Wallington, NJ on Van Dyke St. Any information will be of great help to me in this as well as the answers to the questions above on the Census I think would be of great interest to everyone. Dear Peggy. Thank you for the information. I've been searching for a list of persons buried in the Old Paramus Church yard. There is 1 VanBuskirk stone there that is difficult to read. I wondered if you had a listing, or could put me in the right direction. My mother's family were VanBuskirks. Thank you. See you at the picnic. The Bergen Review was published from Aug. 17, 1922 - unknown date (still in publication in 1977 and not currently published). In 1977 the archives were held by Palisades Newspapers of Englewood. I do not know if they were microfilmed or made their way to one of the libraries. There are older papers in Bergen County available on microfilm--what time period and locality are you interested in?
