Hi all, Matt has finally been deployed to Iraq. He arrived last Monday and is "in place" now as an Arabic Interpreter with a Radio Battalion. He emailed early this morning from Iraq and says it is much better than life at Camp Le Jeune MCB in South Carolina. More informal and less regimented. He also has air-conditioned quarters and eats in the officers mess, so that sounds ok to me. He has liked being in the Middle-East, and I wish I could join him. Thanks for writing, Pat. We've been so busy with Matt's deployment finances, etc that there has been little time to think about memories of NJ. As I wrote before, I thoroughly enjoyed our week in Monmouth County during May and revisited so many places I had not seen for 50 years or more. However, I am always happy to return to peaceful Prince Edward Island after the traffic, crowds, and pace of life in Monmouth County. I invited Diesel to stay with us here on PEI but he said they would not be going that far, only to Nova Scotia, and perhaps next year when he has the RV. Jim from Prince Edward Island
