Ellen, I'm sure one of your children would be happy to go out with you. I don't know how old your grandchildren are but mine think its "cool" to have their grandparents rollerblade. Just take it easy the first couple of times. :-) My husband had back surgery 4 years ago that left him with some numbness in one foot. He looks rather funny blading because one side is not as strong as the other but he has fun anyway. Oh, don't forget to wear a helmet, knee , elbow and wrist guards!
