    3. I had and read all the Cherry Ames, many times, and Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. When I left for nursing school I donated them all to thel local library. I cannot believe they are coming out again with the Nancy Drew books. -----Original Message----- From: Up2Nutrix@aol.com [mailto:Up2Nutrix@aol.com] Sent: Monday, November 11, 2002 10:58 PM To: NJ-MEMORIES-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [NJ-Memories] Re: Ready- Or -Not -Here -I- Come -,and Childhood Diseases In a message dated 11/11/2002 1:07:11 AM Mountain Standard Time, NJ-MEMORIES-D-request@rootsweb.com writes: > I did get a nifty pair of PJ's from my > grandparents, and about 6 new Nancy Drew and Cherry Ames books. > OK . . . how many of you "girls" read the Cherry Ames books? I loved them -- and would you believe, my daughter still has them. I read them all over again just before I started nursing school, back in 1988. Nursing sure has changed from the 1940s, when those books were written! For instance, back then only the sickest patients got IVs, and the docs started them. Now just about everybody gets an IV, and the nurses start almost all of them.
